Give yourself a facial, paint your finger-and-toenails, soak in a tub. If that stuff isn't what you love, upload your favorite music to an mp3 player and take a hike or a run or a bike on your own! Read a book, anything, basically just ignore all the needs and desires of the world outside and focus on your own needs and desires. If you need a nap, take a break and nap your heart out! Maybe you have always wanted to do volunteer work...Take some time and do it...Even a little teeny tiny bit of time spent on yourself can do wonders for how you feel...and that in turn will be paid forward to everyone else you are in contact with!

Re: Entertainment Alternatives

In the make something category, I find that cooking is fun and allows you something to share when you are finished. It can also be a fun way to get the family involved, whether in the making or the eating! Also, being active if you can is fun, go to the park, ride your bike, walk, whatever....
